It's official, and it's Dr. Catherine Redmond, the first graduate student to join and gradate from the Coulombe lab at the University of Michigan. Cat successfully defended her thesis, entitled "Keratin-dependent regulation of progenitor keratinocyte identity and commitment to differentiation," on June 10th, 2024, and earned her PhD in cancer biology. Cat will remain at UofM as an NIH F99/K00 awardee and to pursue her research interests as a postdoctoral fellow. We want to congratulate Cat for her well deserved accomplishment and wish her continued success in her future career.
